Dave began working on cars in 2007. He utilized his college townhouse garage as his first shop while studying for his Industrial Engineering degree at Clemson University. Quickly growing out of the townhouse garage, Dave opened his first shop in Pendleton, South Carolina outside of Clemson. Upon graduation, Dave moved the operation down to Georgia where he previously called home. Despite all the great opportunities his engineering degree presented Dave career wise, Dave stuck to his initiative on building a trustworthy and successful automotive service business in the metro Atlanta area. Today, many of Dave’s dreams have come true from his humble beginnings in Clemson, but he believes the dream has only begun.

After college, I worked in commercial construction, but still had the passion for working on cars, which lead me to partner with Dave and Markert Motor Works in 2012. I currently enjoy coaching my team and holding them to high standards."

Nathan was born in Jacksonville, FL and moved to Roswell, GA in the late 1970s. Nathan then moved to Gainesville, GA in 1992, where he attended high school. He got a Jeep CJ5 during his senior year, only to have the engine later fail due to a lack of preventative maintenance. This immediately prompted his passion for properly taking care of cars to prevent such heartaches in the future. When Nathan married his wife, his father-in-law was already a Volkswagen Master Tech. Nathan credits his father-in-law for introducing Nathan to the VW / Audi brand and industry as a career. Nathan started working for the dealerships in 1998 and maintained a long and successful career before joining the MMW family in 2017. We are very pleased to have Nathan as a teammate here at MMW.

John has been working in the automotive industry since 2011 after graduating from Clemson University. After spending a couple years cutting his teeth in the independent market in Charlotte he decided he wanted to go back to school to learn more about every facet of the automotive world. He obtained a degree in High Performance Automotive at UNOH, worked for two race teams during his tenure in Ohio. After moving back from Ohio John settled in Charleston, S.C. and worked for Mercedes-Benz of Mt. Pleasant for the past 3 years. Being a big European car enthusiast, John drives a single turbo 2008 335i and was originally a customer for MMW until Dave and Rob extended the offer to come work for them. Since a majority of his background is in high performance, this was a great opportunity that he jumped on. Now John is here to help with all of your go-fast and service needs on your European vehicle.
